Parents' Night Out

This is a once-a-month night out for parents of children belonging to First & Calvary.   Parents' Night Out usually occurs on the third Friday of the month, except for August. Parents enjoy a time out from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, while we provide childcare for your children.  The Children will be served pizza for supper, watch a “G” rated movie, play games in the Multi-purpose Room and do a craft. 

You must call in your reservation for childcare.  You can reserve your spot by calling the church office (ask for the childcare line, extension 283) by Wednesday of that week or by contacting Nia Howard at 886-2145 or email childcare@fandcpres.org.  The cost is $5.00 per child, $12.00 for 3 or more children.

Mound Ridge Camping Program

Summer camping provides multiple night camping experiences for children who are in Grades Two through Five. Children learn what it means to follow God with faith and love. Volunteers may be counselors, help with nature lessons, art expression, recreation and Bible discovery. This opportunity occurs in the summer months at various camps during various times. Contact Carmen Stokes for more information if you would like to register your child or serve as a volunteer. 

Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook-off

Treat yourself to some family fun! This Fall family fun night is sponsored by the Early Childhood Committee and serves as a safe, fun and not-so-scary alternative to going door-to-door. Join us as we dress up in costumes and pass out candy in the parking lot from the trunks of our cars. Participants decorate their trunks with Halloween decor like they would their front porch!

You can do one or all of the following:

  • Decorate your trunk and bring candy to pass out
  • Dress up in your favorite costume
  • Bring a pot of your favorite chili or dessert

Celebrate...While We Wait

Celebrate ... While We Wait is a special Advent event for the entire church family. Join us for an afternoon of music, refreshments, activities, and FUN in the Multi-purpose Room, North Atrium and Fellowship Hall.  The event begins in the Multi-purpose Room with a musical by the Joyful Singers, followed by refreshments in the North Atrium and Fellowship Hall.  During this time we enjoy ornament making for the Family Christmas tree in the North Atrium.
