Nursery for Children

First & Calvary provides nursery care on Sunday mornings for newborns up through age one. We have a fully equipped Nursery for newborns and toddlers.

Kairos

We also offer Kairos (a Greek word  meaning "God's Time") for 2 and 3 year olds, which begins one hour prior to or at the conclusion of Sunday school, so children may remain in the same classroom.

The Children's Worship Center

The Children's Worship Center provides a way for young children, ages 4 and 5, to experience worship. This ministry is a structured time with children based on an order of worship found in most Refored and Presbyterian churches . . . we approach God, we proclaim God's Word, we give thanks to God, and we go in God's Name. Volunteers model worship experiences for young children during the 11:00 a.m. worship services.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School classes for all children between the ages of 2 years through non-Kindergarten 5 year olds.

Life in Bible Times - or Faith Village

Life in Bible Times or Faith Village, is our Sunday School program for Kindergarten through Grade 5. Our goal is to provide a learning experience that teaches the Bible so that it brings about a transformation of children's minds and hearts and leads them to a maturity in Christian faith. Faith Village embraces Multidimensional learning and gift-based ministry. The children learn as they take part in the following workshops: Science, Art, Dance, Cooking, Drama and more. Teachers share their time and talents for three-week periods, so that they can also participate in the adult Sunday school program. Class time begins at 9:45 a.m. in Faith Village on the second floor of the church building. (To learn more about this model, click WoRM.)
