Sunday School
for all ages two through Grade 5 - 9:45 to 10:45 AM
Two year olds through Non-Kindergarten Five year olds
The TWO year old class meets on the first floor (main entrance floor) in Room 121. The THREE year old class meets in Room 214 and the FOURS & FIVES class meets in Room 215. The Sunday school offers many opportunities for conversation and teachable moments through the Home Living, Block, Large Muscle and Manipulative Activities, Art, Music, Books, and Wonder Learning Centers. The morning schedule is uniquely planned to enhance the teaching of and provide training in Christian principles. Periods of play, refreshment, and quiet are included.
The TWO year old class uses GOD'S STORY curriculum, published by the Christian Reformed Church. We work with a story from the Bible each week. Your child will bring home a story card that is a replica of the story we used for that day to let you know what we have been learning at church. The story card will aid you in communicating about God, His Word, and His desires for our individual lives.
The THREE year old class uses HANDS-ON BIBLE curriculum published by Group, Inc. Each week your child will receive a "Today I Learned . . .” sheet to bring home. The sheet tells you what we did in class and provides you with questions and activities to help you reinforce your child's Bible lesson at home. We feel privileged to assist you in teaching your child to know, love, and serve God. We desire that your child will "grow in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and mean" (Luke 2:52NIV).
The FOUR & FIVE year old class uses the WITNESS curriculum, published by Augsburg Fortress. Bible stories are taught in a two-year, undated cycle, building a firm foundation of Bible knowledge. The Learner Resource leaflets include a portion to use at home called "Witness at Home!" The leaflets are designed to help you, as parents, be actively involved in the Christian nurture of your child.

Kindergarten through Grade 5
Faith Village is our Sunday school program for Kindergarten through Grade 5. Our goal is to provide a learning experience which brings about a transformation of children's minds and hearts and leads them to a maturity in Christian faith. Faith Village embraces a multidimensional learning and talent-based ministry. The children learn as they take part in the following workshops: Science, Art, Dance, Cooking, Drama and others. Teachers share their time and talents for a 3-week period. Faith Village is located on the second floor of the church.
Our children are led throughout the year by their by their shepherds to different classrooms, experiencing the stories of the Old and New Testaments in interactive, multi-sensory environments making the Bible stories and the teachings of Jesus memorable and meaningful to young children.
Take a moment to travel with us to:
The Oasis [Room 216]
When you travel down the hall in the desert and enter the Oasis you are continuing your travel in the desert. You arrive at a life size Bedouin tent. In the tent we have storytelling, drama/puppets, music and movement.
The Marketplace [Room 219]
When you arrive at the Marketplace you have left the desert and entered the green meadows, see the fresh water of the city. There you find olives, pomegranates, grapes, breads, cheeses, and much more. It is here that we engage in art, science, cooking and much more.
The Temple [Room 220]
As you enter the Temple you are surrounded by the large stones and pillars. It is in the Temple that we enhance our Bible knowledge, through geography, math, and other lessons.
The Upper Room [Room 221]
This room is where we have our new computer lab, cinema, and multi-media room where children can learn and experience God's word in a variety of new ways.
